Model 712 Instrumented Snatch Block Pulley |
| These instrumented sheaves are used as fairleads and cable supporters for various oceanographic instruments which require electrical conductor cable wire rope or synthetic rope. The snatch block configuration permits rapid placement and removal of the cable without removing the instruments or connector at the end of the cable. Aluminum and galvanized steel construction is used for light weight, strength, and resistance to corrosion. The Model 712 is available in several standard sizes. An electronic wire scope counter and a nylatron sheave are used in the instrumented models. | ![]() |
Model 715 Meter Wheel |
| The Model 715 Depth Meter Wheel is used to determine the depth of oceanographic instruments by measuring the amount of line passing through a metering sheave. The sheave is coupled to a counter that accumulates turns and legibly displays total line-out in meters. The counter may be mechanically reset to zero. This reliable depth meter functions well as both metering wheel and fairlead for oceanographic work. The snatch block configuration permits placing the meter on wires without having to thread the wire through. | ![]() |
50 Ton Purse Block |
| Originally conceived in the 1980's to be the strongest purse block in the tuna fishing fleet, this InterOcean systems designed and built sheave has proven its worth by out-lasting any other heavy duty open sided snatch block. The heavy duty 50 Ton Purse Block is capable of handling even the most demanding tasks. A special groove designed on the 3-1/2 inch wide sheave accepts cable up to 1 inch and easily passes 1 inch connecting links. Continuous grease flow from a pressure fed reservoir eliminates the need to lubricate the purse block during deployment. | ![]() |
