These two transducers are identical except for their mounting. The Model 1070 is for a housing rated to 1,530 m (5,000 ft). The Model 1075 is for a housing rated for 6,100m (20,000 ft) or greater. The transducer design is a flooded-ring which has unlimited depth capability and a toroidal beam pattern. This pattern gives maximum sensitivity at an angle of about 60 degrees off the vertical axis. When operating at sea the underwater equipment is generally approached and interrogated at some slant range and this beam pattern is ideal for this situation. This transducer can be supplied with other mounting configurations. |
