Model 5000E Heavy Duty Underwater Release

General Description

The 5000E is a ruggedly built, high-load capacity release unit constructed of alloy steel. It is remotely actuated using either coded underwater acoustics, hardwire, or radio control signals. The receiver mounted on the unit accepts the signals from the surface command unit, and upon receipt of the correct release code the electronics package actuates the motor. This motor rotates a "D" shaped camshaft allowing the release arm to swing free and drop the load.

Applications:

  • Heavy Load Releases
  • Mooring Disconnects
  • Offshore Installations

Advantages

Remote Control
Eliminates the need for dives and provides the optimum control link with a choice of direct electric, remote acoustic or remote radio release signals.
Field Proven, Rugged Equipment
Over the years InterOceans's release systems have demonstrated their reliability in the hostile offshore environment.
Reusable
The 5000E is completely reusable. The simple service procedure takes only a few minutes on deck. Nor replacement parts are needed to reuse the unit.
