With demand on human and financial resources rising, combined with a desire for increasingly accurate and reliable water quality monitoring, InterOcean answers with the 514PC-W Data Logger. When coupled with a 513D Multiparameter Probe or 513E Mini-CTD, the 514PC-W provides the aquatic scientist with the ability to log the maximum amount of data at the lowest possible cost.

To collect, process, and present measurements received from a 513D Multiparameter Probe or 513E Mini-CTD, InterOcean offers the 514PC-W software application for use on personal computers running Windows 95/98/NT/2000. For operation with the 514PC-W software, the next generation 513D or 513E are now configured with an Analog to Digital (A/D) converter installed. The A/D converter is a 15 bit, 8 channel device with RS485 serial output capable of driving up to 4,000 feet of cable. This allows the multiparameter/CTD probe to be deployed using a four conductor cable. Existing model 513D and 513E multiparameter/CTD probes may easily be upgraded with the addition of the A/D module.

514PC-W software features real-time display of all available parameters in either ribbon/bar graph with digital window, strip-chart type graphs, or tabular (spreadsheet) form. Data can be saved to hard disk for later retrieval, re-display, and post-processing. Features included in the playback mode are the ability to view the data in graphical form with zoom capability, or the 24 most recent data sets in tabular form. The user may print tabular or graphical data using any color or black and white printer. For more detailed analysis and post processing, saved data may be imported into a spreadsheet program.

The 514PC-W Data Logger offers a fast, easy to use, cost effective means of data collection and post processing. Additionally, with user input and selected configuration files, the data logger may be used with many different sensor types, further enhancing it's value.
